PRE SEASON TRAINING – Wednesday 20th September

Today’s training plan builds on our basic Strength and Conditioning foundation, with some game specific skills.

18.9.1

ASSEMBLY 6.30pm – 6.50pm (West Potomac High School Gym)

  1. Safety Briefing. Re-introduce core safety and health rules in the Gym
  2. Activity Briefing. Outline double circuit program

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING SESSION 1 – 7.00pm – 7.40pm

  1. Forwards.   Volume Circuit
  2. Backs.   Weight Circuit

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING SESSION 2 – 7.45pm – 8.25pm

  1. Forwards.   Weight Circuit
  2. Backs.   Volume Circuit

CORE SKILLS SESSION 1-  8.30pm – 8.50pm

  1. RCP (Run/Catch/Pass).  2 v 1 Drills

WARM DOWN PERIOD 8.50pm – 9pm

  1. Active Stretching & Warm Down.  

RELEASE 9.00pm
